JugendPolitCamp 2021 from 1st to 5th of April
What is the JugendPolitCamp?
The JugendPolitCamp (JPC) is a barcamp. The participants decide together what they want to talk about. They exchange knowledge and talk about topics from politics and society (more information about the format can be found here).
The JPC (#jpc21) takes place for the tenth time this year. It is open to teenagers and young adults from 14 to 27 years. Normally it takes place at the ABC Bildungs-und Tagungszentrum near Hamburg. As in 2020, we are planning it purely digitally again this year, due to the Corona crisis.
Participation is also possible on individual days. To join, you must register AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS WEBSITE AND via https://barcamps.eu/jugendpolitcamp-2021/. We will send you all the information by mail after your registration via the form.
The JPC starts on 1.4. at 10h and ends on the 5.4. about 14h. The exact times can be found at https://barcamps.eu/jugendpolitcamp-2021/.
How will the JPC work and what technology will it require?
To participate in the JPC you need a computer with internet access. This can be a smartphone or a PC, laptop or tablet. The most important thing is that a microphone is connected to it and that the device has speakers for audio output. A camera is also important but not essential. We recommend that you use a laptop or PC because it is easier to use and you see more than on a smartphone. The use of a headset is also recommended.
If you need help with the technology, please contact us before the event! We want everyone to be able to participate – regardless of technical knowledge.
In addition, we’ll be using Workadventure for everything around the sessions so you can share – stay tuned for more info on that soon!
Otherwise, there will not be much change in the organization and the procedure. We will meet every morning to plan the sessions for the day together. Afterwards these will be implemented and visited by you.
There is one more special feature: You can actively contribute to the evenings by preparing a concert, a reading, a game or other content that can be transported digitally. There will also be a channel for this content.
You find the session plans here: https://barcamps.eu/jugendpolitcamp-2021/events
We are collecting session ideas in advance here: https://barcamps.eu/jugendpolitcamp-2021/sessions
Documentation is particularly important. We use doku.jugendpolit.camp for this (in German). There you can also see what sessions there were in the last years.
Is there a participation fee?
The JPC costs money, but we do not want to exclude anyone. Therefore we offer different prices. If a donation for the ABC Bildungs-und Tagungszentrum (organizer) is possible for you, please indicate a self-chosen price after self-assessment. Every Euro helps to ensure the maintainance of the ABC in the Corona-crisis and thus to make a #JPC22 possible. If you cannot afford it, you can also participate for free.
Because we want to enable as many people as possible to pay online we have Paypal as a payment option besides bank transfers. But we are happy if it is possible for you to make a regular bank transfer. This way the money goes completely to us and not to the payment service.
We ask for some personal data such as address and gender when you register. This is necessary for our funding agencies. Your personal data will not be published anywhere, they are only important for us as organizers and for the sponsors. For the event itself you can of course use another name of your choice.
