What is the JugendPolitCamp?
The JugendPolitCamp in Hüll (#jpc20) is an annual free political event for everyone from 14 to 27 years old. It is based on the principle of the “BarCamps”. We want to offer you a place to exchange knowledge for a weekend, to get to know politically committed people, to develop ideas and also – to have a lot of fun in a big group of young people! 2020 unfortunately due to the current situation only online… We’re looking forward to #jpc21, which will take place at the ABC again (1.-5.4.2021).
What is a barcamp anyway?
The JugendPolitCamp takes place in the format of a BarCamp, which is an open, self-determined conference, also called “Un-Conference”. Barcamps have established themselves as an event format for a few years now, especially in the field of new media, e.g. there are Educamps, Gamescamps, Foodcamps, and PolitCamps.
At Barcamps, people come together on a weekend (or even just one day) to learn from each other and from each other, to exchange ideas and to network. The schedule is planned from day to day by the participants themselves – there is no one who determines the program. So everyone can actively participate and offer so-called sessions. The aim is an open and self-determined exchange of knowledge and dialogue.
We will collect some ideas for the #jpc20 in an Etherpad on this website: https://barcamptools.eu/jpc20/planning
On site, we will plan together from day to day what will be discussed. The eighth JugendPolitCamp took place in 2019, the results of which we have collected on this page. Photos and videos from the last years can be found here.
The JugendPolitCamp is organised by and in the ABC Bildungs- und Tagungszentrum.
